A name, telephone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the outside provider that supplies those results. Our servers do not retain a copy of that search. If you contact us, we receive the information included in your message and use it to answer.

Standard hosting logs may contain an IP address, browser type, viewed pages, and timestamps. We review totals and patterns to maintain the site and understand page use. Cookies or comparable tools may support basic analytics and advertising measurement where used.
What We Do With This Data

We link out to county and state records portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. Their privacy policies, not ours, govern what you submit there. That is especially true of the sponsored search results, which a third-party company provides.

How We Protect Your Data
The site runs over an encrypted connection and logs are kept only as long as the purposes above need them. There are no accounts here, so no password or profile of yours exists on this site to be exposed.
Users Under 18
The site is meant for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Data Rights
Rights to inspect, correct, or delete website data depend on the law that applies to you. Research completed August 23, 2026 did not locate an enacted comprehensive Illinois consumer privacy statute, so no such Illinois right is claimed here. Because we retain very little, a request generally means checking our contact mailbox and available logs. Use the Contact page to ask. Records held by Illinois, Kane County, McHenry County, or the Village of Huntley remain under the control of their custodians. Illinois FOIA, including 5 ILCS 140/3, governs requests for qualifying public records; it does not give us power to alter an agency record.
